1. Transferable skills


Transferable skills are those that can be transferred from one job to another irrespective of your industry, role or job. Examples of such skills are leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.


2. Background Check

A background check is a process carried out by an agency on behalf of the company to verify the applicant’s candidature.


3. Job Boards

These are lists of job openings of different industries curated by various websites or newspaper publications.


4. Employment contract

It is a legal document that sets the terms of employment between the employer and the employee. Some terms you will find in the contract are confidentiality agreement, non-compete clause, notice period, termination ‘for cause’.


5. ESOP

ESOP stands for Employee Stock Option Plan. It is a benefit plan for employees where the employers offer them part ownership of the company at little to no additional cost.


6. POSH Policy

POSH stands for Prevention of Sexual Harassment. It is a law by the Government of India that mandates every company having 10 or more employees to have a sexual harassment policy for their workplace.


7. Corporate Culture

It’s a broad term used to describe the core beliefs and behavior of the employees of the company. Corporate culture is expressed in the company’s vision and mission statements, and other communications.
